I think you have to special order them. We got ours through a violin salesman my Dad knows who wanted someone to test them out. In the end we bought them. xDDD They were pretty expensive, but definitely worth it!
I think each one is about $2000, but that's because they're Ted Brewer electric violins. Quality electric violins (that admittedly are not as cool-looking as the Ted Brewer ones) can start for as little as $250.
Let me know if I sound like a snob, but I think it's much easier to learn a new instrument when you've played others before. The clef is different from cello to violin (bass clef to treble), but one instrument playing experience should strengthen the next.
